Hello again, world! It’s October (and coming to the end of it) and let’s just say September flew by without us even noticing it! That’s because we’ve always got our noses pressed against the monitor, among other things, and work takes centre-stage here at Qoravant. Of course, there’s always time for a break, and that means the gym, reading mags, watching movies, and playing computer games. What kind of games do you ask? Well, a long time favourite is the cult-status LucasArts game, Full Throttle, a point-and-click adventure based on the SCUMM engine that is the backbone of other great games like Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, and Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis.
Most recently, we’ve had a chance to contribute our own Full Throttle artwork to the SCUMM universe through a contest hosted by the Dtoid Artisans Group and sponsored by Telltale Games, and came away with a prize of the all-new Tales of Monkey Island game series! We’re positively ecstatic! Anyone who wants to see more fabulous art by SCUMM fans can direct their browsers to the contest winners post. Here’s hoping there’s more competitions like these in future, ‘cos frankly, we love winning games. Literally.
